Striking bright and dark colours in the picture boulder opal from the Queensland opal fields. Blue, green flashes and pink, orange topped with yellow sparkles. Undulated surface showing some ironstone which makes it a character piece. Width 10.5 to 16mm, length 36mm, thickness around 6.8mm. Weight 42.1carats, 8.42grams.
